WellMade is a project by Fair Wear Foundation, International Apparel Federation, Ethical Trading Initiative and many more organizations. It provides people working for European apparel brands with an understanding of the eight most important labour issues in clothing factories. It gives hands on advice on how employees influence labour conditions of factory workers in their day to day work.
Tired of bad news about clothing factories?
Whatever your job – design to sales, merchandising to materials – you can take steps to make your brand’s supply chain a better place to work. The WellMade project can help you figure out where to start. You don’t learn human rights in design school. Or in business school. But in today’s apparel industry, the demands for price and quality are being matched with demands to treat workers decently. The issues are complex – and so are supply chains – so it can be hard to know where to begin.
Learn what you can do, in your day-to-day work, to make factories better places to work. Join the seminar at Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius on 16 October at to learn more.
