The leading trade show dedicated to excellence in gold and jewellery production at national and international levels takes place January 22-27, 2016.

VICENZA: JANUARY 22-27, 2016 – Fiera di Vicenza kicks off its international trade show year with VICENZAORO January, the reference event for the international gold and jewellery trade, which takes place January 22-27, 2016.
With the participation of more than 1,500 brands from 30 countries, and accredited visitors that include international buyers, media representatives, opinion leaders and trendsetters, VICENZAORO is consolidating its role as a global networking and business facilitator, through its innovative trade fair format, VICENZAORO The Boutique Show.
The central theme of this year’s event “The Golden Voices” aims to provide expression to the most significant aspects of the gold and jewellery sector, and it introduces a range new features that impact the business internationally.
During the six days of the show, Fiera di Vicenza becomes a stage for the industry’s many voices, with a packed calendar of events, workshops, seminars and meetings.
During the press conference organized to present the event, the President of Fiera di Vicenza Matteo Marzotto declared: “With this edition VICENZAORO confirms itself as the international capital of jewellery, thanks to our ability to involve all the actors of the sector and to put ourselves at the service of the supply chain. We firmly believe in “networking”, globally and at national level. Proof of this are the partnerships signed with the most influential players in the world and, only recently, the agreement with Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, supported by the Ministry of Economic Development, thanks to which we intend promoting Italian jewellery. As confirmation of our dual role as global aggregators and ambassadors of Well Done in Italy in the world”.
A significant feature is “The Voice of the Heart” confirming Fiera di Vicenza’s commitment to being a world spokesperson for Corporate Social Responsibility in the jewellery and precious stone supply chain, emphasizing an ethical trade, protection of the environment, and the value of traceability. This is the theme of the conference scheduled for Sunday, January 24, which is being organised by Fiera di Vicenza, together with CIBJO, Gemfields, and other major industry players.
“The Voice of Innovation,” which brings expression to designers and artisans, illustrate the styles, techniques and new trends in contemporary jewellery, affirming VICENZAORO as a point of reference for market forecasting. Fiera di Vicenza’s independent think tank, TRENDVISION Jewellery+Forecasting, conducted a seminar on Saturday, January 23 (10:30 AM-11:30 AM), presenting consumer profiles, style, directions, products and forecasts for the trends for 2017 onwards. These also are featured in the reference publication, the TRENDBOOK 2017+.

“The Voice of Gold” is represented by VO+ magazine, the genuine voice for the world of gold and jewellery. Covering new developments and features in the industry, VICENZAORO January previews its new “look and feel,” alongside the other published and online communications tools.
“The Voice of Soul” is the core of VICENZAORO January, and the main characteristic of the whole event.
During the six days of the show, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Jewellery Museum, a permanent museum space of 410 square metres located in the Palladian Basilica, which is a Fiera di Vicenza project in partnership with the Municipality of Vicenza. The first museum of its type in Italy and one of the few in the world dedicated exclusively to jewellery, it is composed of nine exhibition halls – Symbol, Magic, Function, Beauty, Art, Fashion, Design, Icons and Future – which include approximately 400 jewels. On the occasion of the opening of VICENZAORO January, the museum is hosting a new exhibition, entitled “Skin: The surfaces of jewellery” dedicated to contemporary jewellery. It will run until until May 1, 2016.
“Jewellery and Travel” will be the theme of this year’s Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest, which is being launched during the course of VICENZAORO January 2016. International designers under the age of 30 are invited to express their creativity through different forms of jewellery.
Also featured is T-GOLD, within the EVOLUTION district. This most important international showcase dedicated to the world of precious metals technologies is now in its 39th edition. It will feature the most important Italian companies in the sector, together with a selection of leading developers from other parts of the world. New technologies and trends in the jewellery production is the theme of the 12th Jewellery Technology Forum (JTF), scheduled for Sunday, January (10:00 AM-5:00 PM), which is an international conference conceived by Legor Group S.p.A., a leading supplier in the gold sector, and developed in collaboration with Fiera di Vicenza with the purpose of illustrating new trends and research in the segment.
VICENZAORO January will provide Fiera di Vicenza with the opportunity of announcing its international schedule for 2016, during which it will be strengthening its position among the world’s major players and in the various strategic markets. Among them is Dubai, the undisputed jewellery capital in the Arabian Gulf, which will host the second edition of VICENZAORO DUBAI, organised by DV Global Link, a joint-venture between FIERA DI VICENZA and the Dubai World Trade Centre. It will be held April 14 to 17, 2016, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
From June 3-6, 2016, Fiera di Vicenza will be at JCK Show in Las Vegas with the international format VICENZAORO Italian Passion. Made in Love. It will promote jewellery and gold production and also the values of “Made in Italy,” at the most important exhibition in North America for jewellery and watchmaking.
Also taking part in the press conference was Jacopo Bulgarini d’Elci, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for development of the city of Vicenza, who announced a partnership between the City Council and the Fiera di Vicenza: “For the 2017- 2020 period, we have conceived a strategic cultural program aimed at enhancing the relationship between art, jewellery and fashion. As part of the project The art of style, an initiative which enjoys the strong support of Fiera di Vicenza and which intends making our city an even greater icon of beauty, we shall be presenting four exhibitions centred on the way these mutually influenced one another during the period between the 15th and 20th centuries.
